Saline tidal pond, with reed bed and salt marsh. Being managed by the County Council - Countryside Service team with volunteer help from the Wildlife Recording Group and Milford Environment Group.The Solent Way footpath runs along the eastern boundary of the pond.Winter feeding and roosting area for Brent Goose, Snipe, Teal, Black-tailed Godwit, waders, duck and swan.

Further information: From the A337 head towards Milford-on-Sea village centre on the B3058. At village centre, take Sea Road to top sea T junction and turn left at the Needles Eye Cafe and park in Hurst Road car park. Parking free in winter, chares apply during spring and summer.
