Mariandyrys Wildlife Trust nature reserve is a common covered in limestone-loving wildflowers. Extensive gorse is gradually being cut back to make way for flower-rich grassland. The diversity of habitats on the reserve supports a wide range of invertebrate species, butterflies and snail species are especially numerous.
