Hannah's Meadow - Durham Wildlife Trust
No Events at this location
The fields at Hannah's Meadow were farmed by Hannah Hauxwell using traditional methods, without the use of artificial fertilisers. The meadows are species rich and are home to many breeding birds such as lapwing, redshank, meadow pipit and skylark. There are abundant flowering plants including globeflower, wood anemone and adder's tongue fern. One of the barns has been converted to an un-manned visitors centre with displays and information.
