Ogden Water woodlands
Ogden Water was the first of 10 Local Nature Reserves designated in Calderdale. A large reservoir surrounded by mixed and pine woodland, offering visiotrs an ideal opportunity to come into contact with wildlife or to expolre and area close to Halifax. Ogden water has been a prestigious Green Flag award winner for the last 5 years.

Opening hours: 8.30am until dusk (sign posted at car park entrance)
Admission cost: 50p oer day parking charge
Further information: Ogden Water is located on Ogden Lane, off the Keighley Road, approx 4 miles from the centre of Halifax.
Facilities include car parking (50p per day), disabled car parking, toilets (including disabled toilets), small visitor centre/shop (sandwiches, snacks and hot drinks available), bike racks, countryside classroom (available to hire). 2 electric and 1 push whellchair available to hire.
There are a number of walking trails many suitable for wheelchairs around the waterside and through the woods. Numberous events take place throughout the year, check out the website for more details.
