Old Sulehay
No Events at this location
Old Sulehay is a picturesque mosaic of limestone quarries, grassland, woodland and wetland. Many of the wild flowers here are rare in Northamptonshire and attract a wide range of butterflies. In May look out for the grizzled skipper butterfly in the quarries. The areas of scrub support birds, such as whitethroat, bullfinch, turtle dove and green woodpecker. The woodlands are carpeted with bluebells, wood anemone and Ramsons in the spring.
