Lying to the west of High Wycombe, Sands Bank LNR covers 27 acres of tranquil woodland and flower-rich chalk grassland. It is host to a wide variety of important species. A superb display of bluebells can be enjoyed in the eastern part of the wood, whilst the scrub and coppiced areas are home to the rare Dormouse. The reserve is a butterfly hotspot species include Chalkhill Blue, White-Letter Hairstreak and Brown Argus.
