The Glen is a steeply sided gorge with a rushing burn cutting through it. An attractive walk with superb views of the burn and Saline Hill runs from the centre of the attractive village of Saline to Steelend. 29 species of trees can be examined along with birdlife such as herons and dippers. Pot bellied pigs can sometimes be spotted in the garden of Kirklands House.

Further information: Stout footwear is advised. Walkers can return from Steelend via a path alongside the B914 or hourly bus service (direction Oakley). Parking off bus turning circle or on Main Street.
