Volunteer Work Party
Sat 06 December 2008, 10am-noon
> Event location: Troopers Hill
Organised by: Friends of Troopers Hill
Come along and join our monthly volunteer work parties. There are a variety of tasks throughout the year that help maintain and improve the Hill for wildlife. Work parties finish with a friendly chat and a cup of tea.
- Meeting point: Meet at the corner of Greendown and Troopers Hill Road. Grid Ref: ST 628 731.
- What we provide: We provide tools and protective gloves. Biscuits, tea, coffee, water and blackcurrant cordial are available at the end of the session.
- What to bring: Please wear long sleeves and suitable footwear. This is a rough surfaced, hilly site. All children (under 16) must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Age group: Adults and children at secondary school (11 to 18)
- Registration: Not required
- Further info: Visit our website (see link below) for more details about work parties, past and future. You will also find more information about Troopers Hill itself. Winter is the best time of year for work parties. There are many things you cannot do during the bird-nesting season for fear of disturbing the birds and destroying nests.
